DKD/HSK Wiesbaden - Deutsche Klinik für Diagnostik (DKD) in Wiesbaden
Designed on the model of the Mayo Clinic Rochester, U.S.A, Deutsche Klinik für Diagnostik (DKD in Wiesbaden) opened its doors in 1970. It very soon gained national and international recognition as a health centre with excellent medical staff, state-of-the-art technical-medical equipment and advanced diagnostic techniques. Located in Wiesbaden, a world-famous spa and one of the busiest convention cities in the country, DKD is known as a centre with highest demands on quality, attracting patients from across Germany and abroad. What makes the difference in quality for patients - be they outpatients, day clinic patients or inpatients is a unique combination of top-tire medical expertise, highly motivated staff, patient-oriented services and, last but not least, a pleasant ambience at DKD. DKD staff counts 541 employees at present. In total 35.569 patients were treated (thereof 20.720 outpatient, 9.266 partly inpatient, 5.583 fully inpatient) – hemodialysis is not included in these figures.
Dr. - Horst – Schmidt – Kliniken GmbH (HSK)
The Dr. Horst Schmidt Hospital is a general hospital providing service in all areas of medicine. At HSK you receive the attention and quality of care that only a major medical centre can provide. It is a hospital with a capacity for 1050 patients. The hospital was named after the Minister of Social Protection of Hesse doctor Schmidt who passed away very early but contributed much to the hospital.
After union of HSK and Wilhelm Fresenius Klinic the facilities were expanded for 150 beds and the range of services increased. The HSK – Aukammallee has departments specializing in the following areas: ophthalmology, dermatology, rheumatology and clinical immunology. In 1996 the hospital was stated to be a socially useful limited liability company.
Kaiser-Friedrich-Therme
This spacious and fascinating sauna landscape surrounding the historic Irish-Roman bath covers a total of 1,450 square meters. The tepidarium (warm room), the sudatorium (hot room), the sanarium, the Russian steam bath and the Finnish sauna as well as a stone steam bath offer a varied and interesting range of sauna bathing. The oriental ambience of the Rasul room, sand bath and massage treatments provide renewed energy, increase well-being and a new zest for life. Originally opened in 1913, the bathing palace was lovingly restored; the luxurious ambience may be enjoyed daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. – Fridays until midnight. Delightful quiet rooms and fascinating treatment areas invite a visit, which relaxes the body and soul.
